Wakesurfing Terms
These terms are common to other board sports, but are modified for wakesurfing where appropriate.
Regular: Riding on the left side of the boat.
Goofy: Riding on the right side of the boat.
Toe Side: Riding facing the wave.
Heel Side: Riding facing away from the wave.
Lineride: Holding onto the rope while riding the surfboard.
Freeride: Actually surfing; not holding the handle.
Front Side turn: Turning towards the boat. If you are on the left side,
riding toe side, and you turn towards the left, that would be a Front Side turn.
Back Side turn: Turning away from the boat. If you are on the left side,
riding toe side, and you turn towards the right, that would be a Back Side turn.
